Hiring New Faculty

Once the faculty recruitment process has been completed (e.g. Search Process Checklist has been signed by EEO/AA services and Provost), the PA is responsible for making sure the faculty member is hired in accordance with the terms of the Search Process Checklist and any other accompanying documentation. This includes preparing draft faculty contracts for review by the Provost’s office, preparing Personnel Action Forms (PAF) for approval by the Provost’s office and data entry by HR into the Banner system, entering the faculty member into “Express Hire” in Banner, initiating a criminal background check, providing new hire forms to faculty member, collecting transcripts from faculty members, etc.).
