I. MINUTES FROM THE UUCC MEETING OF September 19, 2002Minutes were approved as distributed.
II. NEW BUSINESS
UUCC continued to discuss new approaches to making the process of curricular proposal review easier. Revisions, to include the numbering of each point on the review check sheet and deletion of the justification box, were discussed. It was suggested that the new form be set up in a style that is similar to the old form. Since additional revisions and more clarity are required, Charles Bleick and Sue Brillant will work with Donna Brodd and Jean Yerian on continued revision of the forms.
Three elements of UUCC's charge, as approved on September 11, 1997, in areas other than the review of curriculum, were discussed. These three elements included "responsibility for the General Education Program review," "oversight of all the Strategic Plan initiatives regarding undergraduate education," and "quality control of academic programs."
