Residential Life and Housing: House Calls for New Students
VCU's Residential Life and Housing is hosting House Calls on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, during fall Welcome Week. The Residence Hall House Calls program utilizes key academic faculty, staff and administrators to meet, greet, and interact with students in their own homes as a kick-off to the semester. Faculty, staff and administrators are encouraged to answer any questions or address concerns students may have about their upcoming or continued experience at VCU, and to welcome students to our university community.
Residential Life and Housing seeks faculty and staff to volunteer as participants in the Residence Hall House Calls program on August 23, 2017. Dinner will be provided during a training session that precedes the program. The training and dinner is held on the Monroe Park Campus, but House Calls will be made on both VCU campuses.
Volunteers will be paired with a Resident Assistant and assigned one or two residence hall floors to visit. Visits include walking around the residential floors, knocking on doors, distributing goodie bags and interacting with students in their community.
Please sign up as soon as possible. Faculty and staff volunteers are essential to this program. Click here to sign up.
