Conversational Spanish Courses (Aug. 27, 2007)

Dear VCU faculty and staff:

Over the past two years, the School of World Studies and the Division of Community Engagement have offered Conversational Spanish courses to all VCU faculty and staff.  The response has been extremely positive.

I am, therefore, pleased to announce that VCU will once again extend this opportunity to faculty and staff. Spaces in Conversational Spanish I, II, and III are now available for the fall semester. Please visit www.pubinfo.vcu.edu/training/it/ for more information and to register. Once at the Web site, simply type “Spanish” in the keyword block and hit enter.

If you are interested in a course that is full and would like to be placed on a waiting list, please e-mail Edward Howard at eahoward@vcu.edu.

I sincerely hope you will take advantage of this unique learning opportunity. Whether you will be taking one of these courses for the first time or continuing on to the next level, I applaud you. The success of these courses is a further demonstration of this university’s commitment to diversity and cultural preparedness, as well as to the growing Latino community.

Sincerely,

Stephen D. Gottfredson
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
