Email: Plan for Banner Unavailability October 16 - 19 (Sep. 16, 2009)
To VCU Faculty and Staff:
Next month VCU will be performing a mandatory upgrade of Banner, the system that handles the finance, human resources, financial aid and other enrollment services-related functionality of the University. Unlike the frequent upgrades to individual modules of Banner, this upgrade will affect all modules of the system simultaneously and requires that the entire system be made unavailable during the upgrade.
The Banner system will not be available to faculty, staff or students from Friday, October 16 until Monday, October 19. Additional information on the upgrade will be sent to you in early October. In the meantime, please make note of these dates in your calendars.
As always, the status of the Banner system may be monitored at the Banner Information Center Web page -- http://www.banner.vcu.edu/.
